Privacy
Splat is for 13–17 year-olds. We treat your stuff like it's yours — because it is.
The short version
- Your creations are private by default. Nothing you make goes public unless you choose to share it.
- We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to anyone.
- No ad-tracking, no profiling. Splat isn't built to follow you around the internet.
- No likes, no ranking, no public counts. There's nothing here to compare yourself against.
What we collect
- Your splat name & avatar — what shows on your creations. You pick it; it doesn't have to be your real name.
- The things you make — drawings, sounds, text — stored so they live on your wall.
- Basic account info — an email or sign-in so it's still your account next time.
- Light app diagnostics — so we can fix crashes and make Splat better. Not tied to who you are.
How we use it
Only to run Splat: deliver the daily drop, save your wall, show the community splotch (if you opt in), and keep things safe. That's it.
Splat AI
When Splat AI reacts to a drawing, the image is sent to our AI provider to generate that one line, then it's done. We don't use your creations to train models, and we cache the reaction so it isn't sent again.
Keeping it safe (because you're under 18)
- Creations are private/friends-only first. Going public is a deliberate opt-in.
- Anything entering the public splotch is screened (image + text) before anyone sees it, and can be reported.
- We ask your age and apply extra protections for under-18s.
Your choices
You can edit your name, keep everything private, delete any splat, or delete your whole account — your wall and data go with it. Email us and we'll help.
