The deal for using Splat. Short, plain, and not sneaky.

Who can use Splat

Splat is made for people aged 13–17. By using it you're confirming you're old enough. If you're younger, Splat isn't for you yet.

Your creations are yours

Everything you make on Splat belongs to you. We don't claim it. We only need permission to show it where you ask us to — on your wall, or in the public splotch if you choose to share it.

The house rules

• Be kind. Splat reacts to feelings, never quality — there are no likes, ranks, or "best", on purpose.
• Make your own stuff. Don't post things that aren't yours to post.
• Nothing hateful, scary, or designed to hurt someone. This is a place to be gloriously bad at art, not mean.
• Don't try to break, spam, or game the app.

Keeping the room safe

Anything that goes public is screened first and can be reported. We may remove content or accounts that break the house rules — to protect everyone here, most of whom are young.

Splat AI

Splat AI reacts to what you made — it never makes art for you (that would ruin the point). Its lines are meant to be funny and warm, never a judgement of you. Don't rely on it for anything serious.

The boring necessary bits

Splat is provided "as is" while we build it. We'll do our best to keep it running and safe, but we can't promise it'll be perfect or never down. We may update these terms; we'll say so in the app when something important changes.
